Salary: €80-85k p/a

I'm looking for an experienced backend engineer to build out my client's backend system. You will work alongside PM's & designers to define, scope, and implement backend solutions to continuously improve the product.

Some of your responsibilities:

• You will be instrumental in owning parts of the architecture, implementation, and deployment of the backend services.
• Delivering efficient solutions to new product features in short sprint cycles.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native software across multiple environments.
• Close collaboration with other teams.
• Own your code for the entire software development lifecycle.

The skills you will need:

• Extensive experience leading and developing production-grade software in a professional environment.
• Excellent software architecture skills.
• Experience developing JVM systems, ideally using Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience using the spring boot framework is a must.
• Strong software testing skills.
• Experience deploying cloud-native software.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure e.g. AWS & Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience designing systems that run on the cloud.
• Previous experience working on integration projects & feel comfortable responding to incidents.
• Willingness to learn about new problem domains and technologies.
• Comfortable implementing CI/CD to the backend systems.

Bonus skills:

• Experience working with multiple programming languages and frameworks
• Experience working in B2B and enterprise integrations
• Experience working in the domains of software security or compliance
