Senior Backend Engineer

Salary: €50k-€80k DOE + 10% performance-based bonus.

What you will be doing:

• Write clean backend code and microservices to build unparalleled scalable integrations.
• Ensure that code and data pipelines are continuously improved.
• Work-based on agile principles with frequent deployments, test automation, and early feedback loops.
• Collaborate with different business units across sister brands.

Skills you will need:

• Extensive experience as a Java Developer.
• Experience using Spring Boot on Linux.
• You have demonstrated experience and are keen to build microservices and distributed systems in a web technology environment.
• HTTP & REST/JSON is second nature to you.
• Good working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB and Cassandra)

Beneficial experience:

• Familiarity with functional and reactive programming would be beneficial.
• Experience with data engineering e.g. Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
• Working knowledge of GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage)
• Exposure to Scala
• Implementing GDPR and privacy compliance functionality 
• German language skills
