Consortia are proud to offer a BI and Data Engineering Lead opportunity at one of the largest suppliers of Maths, Engineering, Science, and Technology education and careers aid to schools, colleges, and community groups throughout the UK.

Whether that's teacher development, bringing educational role models into schools as part of the Ambassador Programme, or long-term support for groups of schools the aim will for our partners is always the same - to provide world-leading education for all young people across the UK.

Covering the entire spectrum of BI/Data Engineering you will design, build, and maintain our central reporting infrastructure, ingesting data from a range of sources, cleaning, combining, processing, and visualising to end users and other systems.

You will own and deliver the reporting development roadmap, working with stakeholders to capture future requirements, manage expectations where required, and help open their eyes to the possibilities of what the data can deliver.

On a day-to-day basis, this would entail:

• Ownership for and delivery of the reporting roadmap, working with a range of stakeholders to identify business drivers and priorities and delivering on expectations.
• Developing and retaining the architecture and systems that underpin our business intelligence and reporting services, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and suitably accurate
• Performing ad-hoc analysis and research for internal colleagues or as a cross-check for automated reporting
• Coaching and developing others within, and outside, the data team
• Leveraging your expertise, enthusiasm, and creativity to further a data-informed culture within the group

Key skills required:

• Substantial knowledge of designing and delivering reporting/bi solutions using modern tools and current best practices in a Microsoft technology stack.
• Significant experience supplying MI solutions through the PowerBI service. Excellent PowerBI front-end design skills and back-end data manipulation including DAX.
• A background building solutions in an Azure environment with Datafactory, Azure SQL, Power apps/Logic apps, and the Common data service.
