A world leader within the Manufacturing industry is looking to on-board a Social Media Analyst for an initial 4-month contract, this will be based within Malmesbury (Wiltshire)

The Global Social Media Analyst will be responsible for the provision of robust quantitative analysis of social media monitoring and listening data to extract insights and recommendations for a range of international and global teams. They will work collaboratively with a consultative approach to guide decisions to drive growth across our social media channels.

Accountabilities - 

  • Deep dive into current performance of all my clients content on YouTube and provide understanding of value of content using the right metrics
  • Pull detailed analysis using Google tools to understand how people are searching for my client, layer this analysis with other sources of data (eg. Social listening) to provide a detailed analysis to underpin our new channel strategy
  • Create a framework to allow us to audit which content should be kept and removed from our channels

  • Analytical and adept with numbers
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to explain complex data or problems to non-technical individuals
  • Organised and solution focused – able to prioritise efficiently and comfortable processing large amounts of information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional approach with commercial awareness
  • Pro-active and able to apply own initiative to critical thinking and business challenges
  • Strong team working and interpersonal skills – ability to respond to stakeholder requests in a timely and considerate manner

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environment

Essential -

  • A real passion for data and analysis within a marketing context
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Digital Analytics role
  • Experience with Google and YouTube platforms and tools
  • Degree level or higher in a numerical discipline such as mathematics
  • Understanding of the marketing/digital/social landscape
  • Experience with: Facebook insights, Twitter analytics, YouTube analytics
  • Able to use social listening tools (super user experience)
  • Able to work with large data sets & databases with strong problem-solving skills
