A Data Architect is needed for a industry leading Pharmaceutical Analytics company in central London. The role is to lead the design and delivery of brand new enterprise data solution built on Oracle and SQL Sever systems.
You are ideally tool agnostic with either a strong background in Oracle, MDM, ETL, data mapping & modelling, data architecture or more familiar with SQL Server and data warehousing, data governance etc. The can be flexible on tool stack but want an experienced data architect to join 2 other architects in the team.
The company are data centric and deal with hundreds of data sources across the UK and EU. This data is then pulled into a central data for analysis. What is core to the role is being able to be hands on with SQL or PL/SQL coding and ideally data warehousing as a core skill.
You will evaluate, review and design data services, logical and physical data models and implement a intricate data architecture. This role will also support the creation and maintenance of complex ETL routines via tools such as Informatica, ODI and Talend.
To be successful in this position you will need to be a critical thinker and understand the bigger picture when it comes to the data flow and the various touch points where the data is generated. This will allow the team to better understand the overall picture the data shows.
Ideally you will have worked within pharmaceuticals, a business directly working within pharma, healthcare or within a regulated data environment such as financial services, telecoms or utilities. Any experience dealing with healthcare systems such as within the NHS and patient data will be highly advantageous.
