Head of Data Engineering

Consortia have partnered with an innovative technology start-up/scale-up in their search for a Head of Data Engineering. Their product is redefining a multiple billion-pound UK industry with a combination of a flawless customer experience and disruptive technology!

With backing from some of Europe’s top VCs, the same as Spotify and Revolut. You will join a fast-paced, engineering-focused culture in building industry-leading products that tackle an age-old problem at the core.

As a Head of Data Engineering, you will join an engineering function of 9 specialists to take ownership and accountability of the Data side of things. This data-driven organisation needs a Head of Data Engineering to play a hands-on and strategically focused role to help at this exciting point in the business’s growth before launching a new product.

The perfect Head of Data Engineering will have:

• Commercial experience working with modern data tech stacks. Ideally GCP but relatively agnostic
• Experience leading in a product-focused data team
• Solid understanding of the software engineering principles including testing practices i.e. TDD
• Excellent communication, to be the face of data
