Lead Data Engineer | Remote (Some travel included for key meetings) | Up to £80,000 P/A Dependant on Experience!

Consortia is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Lead Data Engineer with our industry-leading sports data & analytics clients. They specialize in aggregating and manipulating sports data, revolutionizing the experience for sports fans and teams worldwide. 

You will be a driving force in their football data platform, which will serve as the bedrock of their success in this thrilling sport. As the Lead Data Engineer, your expertise will be crucial in centralizing, unifying, and ensuring the accuracy of our client's data. You will have the opportunity to work hand in hand with their data scientists, collaborating on cutting-edge features and seamlessly bringing their models into production.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience working with cloud solutions like Google Cloud, AWS, Oracle, Snowflake, and more.
• Proficiency in AWS data services, unlocking the full potential of our cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools, such as Airflow, for streamlined data workflows.
• Mastery of Python or a similar language, coupled with experience in frameworks like Flask.
• Expertise in handling complex relational databases and NoSQL systems.
• Strong background in ETL systems, data modelling, and scalable API development and deployment.
• Familiarity with distributed computing options and large-scale data storage technologies like Spark and Dask.
