About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on designing and building a next-generation platform for market and credit counterparty risk. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a four-year program aimed at transforming risk management processes. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to create innovative, scalable solutions that meet the demands of a fast-paced financial services environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Python, AWS, Airflow, and Snowflake.
  • Ensure data systems are reliable, high-performing, and secure by implementing monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Enhance the platform by integrating new features, incorporating additional data sources, and improving data flows.
  • Document processes and tools, and share best practices across the engineering team.
  • Tackle technical challenges head-on, contributing to a culture of problem-solving and innovation.

Who You Are

  • You have a strong technical background and a proven ability to design, build, and maintain complex data platforms.
  • You are an advanced Python developer who excels at creating efficient, scalable solutions.
  • You’re highly skilled in cloud technologies, especially AWS, and tools like Airflow and Snowflake.
  • You bring expertise in market and credit counterparty risk systems and understand the unique challenges of this domain.
  • You’re comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • You’re experienced with CI/CD workflows and infrastructure as code, and you value clean, efficient processes.
  • You communicate effectively and work well with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.

Preferred Background

  • Financial services experience, particularly in investment banking or enterprise risk management.
  • Previous work with consulting firms or organizations known for building robust, scalable platforms.

What We Offer

  • The chance to be part of a high-impact program, building a platform from the ground up.
  • A collaborative, innovative environment that values your technical expertise.
  • Flexible work arrangements: NYC-based with in-office expectations of 1–2 days per week, or fully remote for exceptional candidates in the US.
  • Competitive compensation, with opportunities for professional growth.
