Data Manager - Hybrid - Oxfordshire - BioTech

£50,000 - £60,000 p/a + 10% Bonus

Our partner is looking to recruit a Data Manager to join a successful BioTech consultancy in UK. They are rapidly expanding and are at the forefront of helping organisations develop robust drug discovery and development programs that address critical medical requirements.

This organisation has received a multi-million-dollar investment and has steps in place to grow into multiple functions over the foreseeable future.

As the Data Manager, you will be an integral part of the business working on an exciting clinical trial, whilst involved in a newly built bespoke bioinformatics platform.

This will consist of working with highly sensitive confidential data in many forms. Therefore, you will need to have a solid knowledge of database management and can demonstrate affecting change on a companywide level. Influencing, negotiating, and managing the quality of data is a high priority within this requirement.

What you will need to have:

• Demonstrate commercial experience as a data manager and data policies.
• Experience in Cloud (AWS/Azure) or HPC.
• Knowledge of managing and working with genomic data is highly preferred (e.g., NGS, transcriptomic and proteomics data sets)
• Experience of working within a GCP environment would be a major advantage.
• Awareness of Python SQL, API would be a plus.
• Efficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)
• An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
