Junior Java Developer - Working 2 days in London office, 3 days from home per week.

Salary - £26,000 - £36,000

A junior level Java Developer is needed for a leading Fintech company that is rapidly expanding globally and offering an opportunity for an incredible career with a massive upward trajectory.

About the role:

Within this role you’ll be involved in software support and development projects of different sizes and complexity, working with their clients to help provide them with new and advanced software solutions that help them to meet their business goals.

What you will be doing:

• Analysis and design of solutions under the guidance and consultation of a Solutions Architect.
• Taking the role as Solution Architect on the relevant projects.
• Collaborating with a Solution Architect and the Solutions Delivery team when challenges are encountered during the development process.
• Producing development estimates which contribute to overall delivery estimates.
• Helping refine the documentation of business requirements, user stories and any other requirements under the guidance of the Consultant, Solution Architect and Product teams.
• Working with the Delivery Manager, Solution Architect and Senior Developers in the technical planning of solution delivery projects.
• Ensuring the development meets the coding standards and code reviews of solutions are performed by the relevant person.
• Executing Unit Tests to validate the technical design, functional design and business requirements.
• Ensuring documentation is maintained in accordance with established standards.
• Working with the Test Analysts to ensure they have an understanding of solutions and testing requirements.
• Participating in demos of the Figaro system to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate with the Solution Architect to identify solutions to resolve support issues.
• Developing and fixing support issues.
• Providing guidance and mentor support to Junior and Trainee development team members
• Working with the Releases team to ensure project artefacts are ready and can be released to clients during key phases of project and support work.
• Providing regular feedback on project and support work to help contribute to the continuous improvement of the team
• Focusing on the outcomes of their work to manage their work commitments with support from their line manager.

What you will need to have:

• 1 - 2 years of relevant Java development experience
• AGILE software development experience
• Customer facing experience
• Computing degree or equivalent
