A client of mine based in West London is looking to onboard a Product Manager for an initial 6-month contract. You will be responsible for taking the lead on various acquiring and value-added service products, this means assessing our current products, looking to make improvements and extensions and finding out what customers want, like, and need from my client.

You will drive various product strategies forward, gathering and promoting the most effective ideas into technical features for their customers and follow product development from start to finish.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products.
  • Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule.
  • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision.
  • Track product use and impact on end users, eg adoption, customer engagement, commercial success, etc.
  • Determine customers' needs and desires by specifying the research and obtaining customer feedback through multiple channels.
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes and their commercial viability and value.
  • Be cognizant of the market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Bring new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with the technology teams.
  • Introduce and market new products by developing launch plans with sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management.
  • Background in software development or program management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with an Agile framework.
  • Organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Creative thinking skills.
