Looking for a product lead position in a manufacturing organisation that are delivering against a 5 year plan to double output?
Consortia are proud to have been chosen as the exclusive agency for this client and as such you will not find this role anywhere else. If it sounds like something you’d be interesting in exploring prior to sending a CV get in touch with the team.
As the lead product manager you’ll be working directly with the MD for Europe and Asia and alongside a dedicated product development department you’ll be the voice of the customer, future proofing the development plans looking at everything from components to go to market strategy.
The role is available as the current senior product manager is moving to the US to join the sister organisation in a similar capacity (but not linked). They are leaving in April so a good handover period is in place with the hope the new product manager will be in post in or before Q1.
With an Appetite for the future the product manager will own the 5 year plan feeding back What’s happening on the market, how the products are positioned and ultimately own the product road map.
As the lead product manager you’ll engage with all of the stakeholders from finance to engineering to drive the roadmap Looking outside the business as much as in it to Make sure you are aligned to market with a key focus on emerging technology.
naturally Detail and data driven we need a product manager that understands that facts back business decisions whether that’s market and customer analysis or benchmarking for products and build.
Ideally as the lead product manager you’ll need to come with;
It’s an incredibly exciting time to take over as the lead product manager joining an organisation that has doubled in size in 3 years and is on track To double again in 5 years.
3 years ago the business was building and shipping 2200 units a year now they are 5000 and the 5 year plan aims for that figure to achievably be 11000 units.
The 5 year plan put in place by the organisation is not pie in the sky with capital investments in manufacturing and the £40m acquisition of a competitor in Germany to ensure the business can deliver on its plan.
Whilst the business has been established for decades this is not a manufacturer stuck in the past with £3.5m development spend
solely for the UK and European market to ensure they remain at the cutting edge.
To underline the organisations forward thinking nature the group’s aim is that at least 30% of all products sold have to be less than 18 months old.
