A specialist consultancy is looking for a Project Manager with a proven track record in government-backed R&D programmes. This role will see you managing scientific and engineering research projects, ensuring they meet regulatory, funding, and stakeholder requirements while maintaining technical excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔ Leading the end-to-end management of R&D projects within the public sector
✔ Engaging with government agencies, research institutions, and industry partners
✔ Ensuring technical and regulatory compliance in line with funding requirements
✔ Managing budgets, timelines, and risk assessments for high-impact projects
✔ Supporting the transition of R&D initiatives from concept to implementation

What You’ll Need:

✔ Proven experience managing government-funded R&D contracts
✔ Background in engineering, physics, or applied sciences (preferred)
✔ Strong understanding of public sector research frameworks and compliance
✔ Exceptional stakeholder engagement and risk management skills
✔ Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams across science and engineering domains

• Fully remote but only considering candidates based in the UK
• Inside IR35
• Day rate: £500 - £700 per day
