Lead Python Engineer

A client of ours who are based in Edinburgh, are looking for a Lead Python Engineer to join their IT team.

The business have recently merged with an international business, and are looking to build out their IT function in order to improve their product. They are an innovative software solutions business for their specific sector, and it's an excellent time to be joining.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a development team both onsite and remotely at technical and personnel level
• Mentor junior members of the team and plan their skills development
• Communicate with the product team to understand business requirements, evaluate feature requests, and translate specifications into workable technical solutions
• Ensure that code developed meets product quality, scalability, and performance criteria
• Promote knowledge sharing and best practices
• Manage deployments and provide implementation and post implementation support as needed
• Report on status and progress of development projects

What are they looking for?

• Python Development experience
• Django (or similar framework such as Flask etc.)
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Database experience
• Agile 

On offer is a salary package of up to £50,000 + Benefits (part remote working is available).
