QA Test Engineer - Dublin based (Hybrid working)

Salary - €55,000 - €70,000

A QA Specialist is needed for a Dublin based Fintech that is rapidly expanding globally and offering an opportunity for an incredible career with a massive upward trajectory. The ideal applicant will have Life and Pensions or finance sector experience or have strong API experience (but not essential)

The platform our client operates is one of the fastest growing in its environment and underpins a staggering volume of transactions.

The QA specialist is Responsible for ensuring that all program code/system changes are successfully tested and signed off before implementation into a production environment as per specification and within agreed timelines.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Interact with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and agree test requirements using appropriate tools and techniques and broadening own knowledge base in the process.
  • Assist in the development of testing strategy for projects and large enhancements and develop master test plans and schedules as required.
  • Develop test plans, cases/scripts, status reports & other deliverables as required that are risk assessed and meet the test environment needs.
  • Perform and manage test execution, either independently or in partnership with various IT teams and business clients.
  • Ensure test metrics are monitored and tracked for corrective action, defects are raised and diagnosed and provide consultation and support to stakeholders based on these.
  • Produce test summary reports and input into process improvements
  • Carry out peer reviews of other QA staff test plans.

Experience Required:

  • Experience working as an IT Tester (approx. 4+ years), with automation tools experience
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise across multiple tasks to tight timelines and to coordinate cross teamwork.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team to agree project plans and timescales that are realistic and achievable.
  • Strong business analysis skills and understanding of the insurance industry. Understanding of how the business operates and how our systems support it.
