JavaScript Consultant - Birmingham (Hybrid - Travel Required)

Are YOU a driven and motivated JavaScript consultant who is seeking to join an award winning digital consultancy and making an impact with multiple clients, whilst solidifying impactful relationships clients?

Our consultancy client is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join their development team and play an integral role in crucial projects for their clients. Whilst, The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle – from design, through development, into delivery and post-live support, the most essential priority of all will be conducting initial engagements with brand new clients.

How pivotal you will be as their consultant

As an experienced Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and shaping new propositions, helping to win work that enhances our client's reputation and integrity as experts in innovation, building points of view and driving the execution of the work with our clients.

As an integral point of contact with their client, you will clearly acknowledge business strategies and how the proposed solution adds value to their clients. Decisions should reflect this focus on client satisfaction. The most successful consultants are perceived by the client as a business partner and will be added in crucial meetings and invited to discuss strategic obstacles. 

The work will be a challenge, as they are creating complex products with intriguing issues around UX, architecture, scaling, meaning that this role is critical to the ongoing success of this consultancy.

What you will need to have

- Need to be at expert-level JavaScript development experience covering concepts such as component design, state management and programming in a Microservices architecture delivered in the following frameworks/Technologies; Node.js, React and TypeScript.

- Need to have very strong communication skills in 1-on-1 or team scenarios. Must be able to run workshops and present ideas to clients at all types of levels (technical, executives, business users), plus, the ability to be ‘thinking outside of the box’ and respond effectively to any questions. Highly developed influencing and negotiating qualities are also essential to this role.

- You will be accountable for safeguarding ongoing technical development, architecture and code quality for their JavaScript projects. Maintaining a finger-on-the-pulse awareness of new technologies and best practices, with an eye on how they could be introduced to their stack.

- The willingness to travel nationally in UK as when required, often at a short notice (approx. 8-days per month).

- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects/engagements simultaneously and confident at overcoming obstacles, swiftly adjusting to changing client priorities.
