The most interesting part of my job is managing consultants and working with them to achieve their goals and billing targets.

With 4 years experience, Charley was brought in as an Associate Managing Consultant. Since joining, Charley has taken the UX market by storm and is now managing a team of billing consultants.

Describe an average day at Consortia

An average day at Consortia to me is another day to make something amazing happen, given the way we work and the methods we use it feels like something could explode any second. Like a new job, a deal, an interview. Just all the things that make you look forward to a day in recruitment.

What is it about recruitment that you enjoy the most?

I have always used this answer from day one, the thing about recruitment I enjoy the most is running your own business within a business. You can build your market to anything you’d like it to be with the right output. Even though you work for a company you are in control of your desk and that excites me the most.

What is the best thing about working at Consortia?

The best thing about working at Consortia would have to be the commission structure, and of course the team.

What is the most interesting part of your job?

The most interesting part of my job is managing consultants and working with them to achieve their goals and billing targets.

What are the challenges of your job?

Managing as well as looking after your own desk, but of course this is the exciting part to see if you can be a successful billing manager.

How does this role differ from ones you’ve had in the past?

With roles in the past we have never really stuck to one exact market, which never meant you were really a specialist in anything within Information Technology. With our markets being so tight I have mastered my market which is allowing me to make placements and easy deals.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

My proudest moment at Consortia so far is between (doing 4 deals in 1 day and billing 85k in 5 months)
