The Client

Founded in Berlin in 2014, CrossLend provides a digital debt marketplace with a mission to make the world’s lending and investment ecosystem more efficient, transparent and profitable.

By means of an innovative securitisation setup, they seamlessly connect originator supply with institutional investor demand, creating uniquely beneficial opportunities for both. With lenders empowered to lend more and investors able to deploy their capital more efficiently, liquidity is available to flow where it is needed: a win-win situation for all.

The Challenge

Following on from a successful recruitment campaign where we helped CrossLend recruit Product Managers in Berlin, Consortia were engaged by the Talent Acquisition Manager to help identify Javascript Engineers.


CrossLend had been looking to identify and secure Javascript Engineers for three months to build their engineering capability. Working with their preferred agencies, CrossLend felt they weren’t getting a high enough quality of candidates and asked for support to help them grow their team.

The Result

Consortia arranged an initial briefing call with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring manager to understand the key requirements, whilst understanding what the challenges have been in securing the right engineers. We consulted on the interview process, salary level and set in place a service level agreement for an effective recruitment process.

We submitted six candidates over ten days, all six were taken to first interview, three taken to second stage, two taken to final and we had one offer.

The offer was accepted and our candidate was in situ within eight weeks' of the first contact. The successful candidates notice period was initially 12 weeks however we consulted with the successful candidate to reduce their notice period, allowing them to start their new position with CrossLend much quicker than expected.

The total time of the recruitment process was three weeks.
