A specialist consultancy is looking for an experienced Python contractor to contribute to a high-impact government-funded energy project. You'll play a key role in building scalable, data-driven solutions that optimise energy usage and drive sustainability efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔ Developing robust Python solutions for large-scale energy data projects
✔ Working within a consultancy-led team delivering on government contracts
✔ Building and optimising APIs, data pipelines, and backend services
✔ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration
✔ Leveraging cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to enhance system scalability

What You’ll Need:

✔ Strong Python engineering experience (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
✔ Proven background in consultancy-led government projects
✔ Experience working on energy or sustainability-focused products
✔ Solid understanding of data engineering principles and cloud platforms
✔ Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Fully remote but only considering candidates based in the UK
• Inside IR35
• Day rate: £500 - £700 per day
